Public Holiday – Labour Day


One hundred and fifty nine years ago Stonemasons building the Trinity Church in the Rocks in Sydney, downed tools in demanding a shorter working day – 888 – Eight Hours Work, Eight Hours, Eight Hours Recreation. On 1 December 1855 They celebrated their victory by having a slap up dinner in town.
